EPFO Login: Employees and Employers on How to Log In
Founded on March 4, 1952, under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in India provides services related to retirement, insurance, and provident funds for workers in private sector organizations.
This guide details the steps for signing into both EPFO and UAN, essential for utilizing EPF accounts and their advantages, such as viewing passbooks and monitoring claim progress.
Overview of EPFO
Under the jurisdiction of India's Ministry of Labour and Employment, the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) administers provident fund, insurance, and pension schemes for the workforce in India. Recognized as the largest social security organization on the globe, EPFO supports more than 27.74 crore members, operating through 138 offices and holding the title of the most expansive active organization worldwide.
Member Passbook, Claim Status, and Balance Check
To access your EPF e-Passbook, verify your EPF balance, or sign into your Member Passbook, adhere to the following instructions:
- Visit EPF Portal Homepage: Start by going to the EPF website.
- Select "e-Passbook": Click on “e-Passbook” on the homepage.
- Logging In: On the Member Passbook page, input your UAN, password, and the captcha, then select "Sign In".
•Passbook Overview: Examine your EPFO Member Passbook for a comprehensive record of transactions, contributions, and accrued interest.
• Balance Inquiry: Review the cumulative balance of your EPF account.
• Claims Processing: Streamline the submission and monitoring of your EPFO claims through the online platform.
EPFO Login / UAN Login Process
- Initially, navigate to the EPFO's main site at https://www.epfindia.gov.in/.
- Once there, locate and select the “Services” tab situated in the upper navigation bar on the front page.
After selecting this option, you'll be presented with six different choices, listed as follows:
- Employer Access: Employers looking to utilize services should click on the EPFO Employer Login.
- Employee Access: Employees needing to use EPFO Login, UAN Login, or other services can select this option.
- International Workers: Employees stationed abroad requiring EPFO services should choose this.
- Pensioners: For access to the Jeevan Pramaan portal, pensioners are advised to click here.
- EPFO Office Locator: This option helps you find the closest EPFO office's address. To initiate a session on the EPFO UAN Member Portal, select the “For Employee” choice.
Following this, a new page will appear. Navigate down to the “Services” area.
- Subsequently, in this area, choose “Member UAN/Online Service (OCS/OTCP)”.
- Following these steps, you will be directed to the EPFO Member Home page.
- Here, on the right side of the EPFO Member Portal, the “EPFO Universal Account Number Login” box will be visible.
- To sign in through EPFO UAN, input your UAN number, password, and the captcha displayed into the designated fields on the EPFO Member Portal.
- Then, press the “Sign In” button to finalize your EPFO login process.
